Why I'm running:

I have a passion for open grassroots government for citizens and for safely in Violet Township by providing the best possible services we can.  I also love to work toward creating and responding to development opportunities to improve our community in a way that is responsive to the needs of our taxpayers.

 I'm running for re-election as your Violet Township Trustee in order to continue working on your behalf on several critical issues which have been initiated but need to be completed. I look forward to resolving these issues for the benefit of the entire community; among these are:
  • Continue to pursue "The Safe Routes to School Grants" for sidewalks to every PLSD school and a sidewalk from Toll Gate School to S.R. 256 along Refugee Rd.
  • Smart, non-residential economic development using our Port Authority to secure commercial development to reduce future tax burdens on the citizens of our township.
  • Continue finding creative ways to increase non-tax revenues for our township to ensure adequate infrastructure and services such as road maintenance, snow removal, right-a-way mowing, etc.


Personal Information:

Gary has been a Violet Township Resident since 1985, growing up in Massillon, Ohio.  Gary and Linda have been married since 1978 with their 37th wedding anniversary coming up this fall.  They have a blended family with five children and 8 grandchildren that they enjoy.
